What does good Feng Shui mean?
You may think you know what it is, but unless you really know what it is – how do you even know if you want it or if it can help you? This week, I dealt with 2 clients and those experiences will give you a glimpse at what good Feng Shui can look like. My week started with being interviewed by a client who is building a new house. He was worried I would be offended at being interviewed, but nothing could be further from the truth. I see my role in working with clients as very personal. As a Feng Shui consultant, I work to support them to live in better spaces so that they can live better lives. It is often a long-term process and it’s a serious financial investment so I appreciate it when clients want to get to know me first. The good news is, we got along very well and he feels that he has a clear path forward with Feng Shui. I’ll be working on design suggestions starting next week. Yesterday, I met with a property developer on a beautiful 4 acres site just outside Vancouver. He represents my favourite type of client. He wants to build homes to support people live better lives by incorporating sustainability and Feng Shui into the project. He was smart – he met with me before he started the designs. I also educated him as part of this project on the importance of having his home and office looked at too. I told him, “If you want good energy, it has to start with analysing your own space and seeing if it supports you for your goals or not.”With these 2 clients, teaching them about Feng Shui was key for them to work towards and achieve their goals. And speaking of education, in between meeting with clients, I’ve been updating my Feng Shui Mastery Program. I finished adding 200 new pages to my Advanced Feng Shui Practitioners manual including material I’ve never taught before that I learned on my latest trip to Malaysia. I’ve edited and updated the 4 manuals of week one, created the manual for week 3, and next week will update the week 2 manual of astrology. It’s been great to review, refresh, and include new material from my most recent Feng Shui study trips. I only teach this class once a year – it’s a big investment of time and money for all who attend and I so honour that and am working hard to create the best class ever. So, for me, I can easily say life in the Feng Shui fast lane is busy, full, and exciting.

Happy Lunar New Year: Looking back on my year of the Earth Dog
I have to admit, a year ago I was a little apprehensive heading into the Year of the Earth Dog. The elements and influences of 2018 were not my favorite, and I had few positive stars shining on me. Being an adept astrologer in both Chinese and Western systems, I knew I had to have the right mindset and be strategic in how I approached the year. Why is that? The Year of the Earth Dog foretold potential obstacles in several areas of my life. While the future always may hold some unknowns, here’s what I know for sure: when you can prepare for what’s ahead, you can best align yourself with the future. By adjusting your actions, your Feng Shui, and, most importantly, your thoughts, you can best navigate the hills and valleys of the next year. I was able to use my expertise to have the right attitude, and take the right actions to turn 2018 into a great year. Did you know that the Chinese character for “crisis” and “opportunity” is the same? I love this. When you look at the world as if everything is happening for you, not to you, everything becomes an opportunity. There is always something we can do to improve our life. I like to use the analogy of a seed in a garden: in spring, you grow; in summer, you bear fruit; in autumn, you slow to prepare for winter; in winter, you rest. People have cycles too, and by understanding the energy of 2018 I was able to work with it — not against it. I created a strategy from the teachings of my masters on how best to use Feng Shui and time to create the best outcome for myself. The more focus you give to something, the more it grows (whether that’s positive or negative growth), which is why it’s so important to celebrate our success. It’s so easy to think of things you didn’t accomplish for any given day or year, and one of the best ways to turn that energy around is to recognize and celebrate what you did accomplish. And so, here is some of what I did this last year: My new website was launched! I stepped out of my comfort zone and started sharing live videos. I taught a couple of brand new courses. In June I taught a new five-day advanced BaZi / metaphysics class, Turning Fate into Destiny, and in the fall I taught an Awaken Your Intuition / Tarot class — both so much fun! I started a monthly new moon circle with the senior students, where we meet monthly on the new moon. I continued to do a lot of inner, personal work from workshops (including an eight-day retreat in November) to regular breathwork and check-ins with professionals as needed, using different modalities to support myself. I started a regular morning practice of mindfulness and meditation. All this has resulted in changing me, and thus, changing the world around me. Was 2018 challenging? Yes, in some aspects it was. But that’s OK, because it pointed me to where I needed to grow and work in my own life — and I did. I am excited for 2019. My dream of working with and supporting conscious people to live in conscious environments that support them to do the positive work they do in the world, continues to happen and grow. Every month I meet and work with people who want to make a positive difference in this world, who understand “together, we are more.” If I can support you to do well, it has a ripple effect and we all do well. I look forwarding to sharing with you in 2019, the Year of the Earth Boar: Continued live posts with tips and wisdoms Live classes available for you online New courses on the I Ching A new, in-depth BaZi course focusing on the 10 ways the 10 gods manifest in our charts A revamped version of my summer practitioner course My wish for you in 2019, the Year of the Earth Boar, is a conscious, prosperous, peaceful, healthy and happy New Year!

Time To Pay Attention – Month of the Water Rooster
The Chinese Month of the Water Rooster began on September 8th. The Rooster month in the year of the Pig will for most everyone bring some relief (what that might mean for you?) following the cosmic challenges of the last couple months. The Rooster represents the element of Yin Metal and it’s associated with the setting sun and the direction west. The original image for the Rooster is that of a wine flask, which indicated it was time to leave the tasks of the day, relax, enjoy a glass of wine, listen to music and watch the sun set. The sign of the Rooster represents all things to do with the element of metal. In five element theory Metal is about taking action and movement. It is the strongest of the 5 elements (water, wood, fire, earth and metal). If the metal is weak in your chart taking action may be difficult for you, whereas when it is too strong you may be all doing with no planning. You may get lots done, but work too hard. Lack metal -nothing gets done. In the human body the element of metal rules the lungs. It is interesting to note that people whose charts have strong metal frequently have respiratory problems. The emotion of metal is romantic and sometimes sad. Metal energy is associated with melancholy, wistfulness and longing. Positive metal emotions are altruism and a highly developed sense of right, wrong, fairness and justice. The last couple of months have been filled, for many, with sudden emotional and physical health issues. Anyone with Pig, Monkey or Tiger in the chart was particularly susceptible. The Solar and Lunar eclipses in July pushed many into forced or chosen changes. Many dealing with fatigue, feeling something is missing, dissatisfaction and sorrow. The impetus is to choose, decide and commit to higher purpose. To do so means transcending fear and speaking your truth. Say what you mean, and mean what you say. The energy of the Water Rooster month is filled with emotion. I suggest that you see this as an opportunity to express what you may be repressing and not actually allowing yourself to feel. The energy of water and metal is a portal to your emotions and feelings. So use this energy to explore the bigger picture of what really matters to you and where you are heading in life. This is a perfect month to define your vision. Note, this is all very simplistic. You can do this on your own, but I encourage you as well to consider supporting yourself by having an in-depth analysis done of your Chinese Astrology Destiny Chart. With our first breath we were imbued with the energy blueprint of the cosmos at the moment. Your own personal chart is a mixture of energies identified from the year, month, day and hour of birth. This blueprint reveals how you think, why you think the way you do, your strengths and weaknesses, cycles and more. How we choose to work with these patterns contributes greatly to the successes or failures we may experience in life. Just as a plant in a garden grows in spring and rests in winter, we too have cycles of growth and rest. By understanding and working with the patterns of the 5 elements and time we can be in flow and right action at the right time and life is easier.

Do you feel it? The energy has shifted as the month of the Wood Dog has arrived
Do you feel it? The energy has shifted as the month of the Wood Dog has arrived (Oct 8). The image associated with Wood Dog is one of a tree growing on a rocky terrain, depicting an energy that we can all tap into, of independence, determination, durability, strong-willed and resilience. This is the perfect time to move forward tapping into this energy and using it to propel you forward towards your goals. September was a month of strong emotions and feelings. Old patterns and limitations have surfaced for many of us and are no longer comfortable to stay in. You may have been waking up at night with the feelings and thoughts “ I need to change”, “I’m not happy”” and “What do I do now?” We have been reassessing our relationships, our careers and work environments and all the areas of our lives that aren’t working for us any longer. All year, but particularly in the last few months, I am hearing from my students and clients that they are waking up at night feeling restless, feeling empty and looking for purpose and meaning in their lives. Inside the Dog is Yang Earth, a mountain. Use this energy to explore your thoughts and take steps towards your goals you made earlier this year, especially for those who have been intuitively feeling that it’s time to make a shift towards awareness and growth. While September was the month where a whole year of emotions and feelings of old habits and unconscious behaviours resurfaced, in not only yourself but in your relationships with others, we now can feel a sense of release from those emotions. The opportunity this month is for us to reflect honestly and decide what small or big steps you can take to move forward and take action. The Wood Dog month will support you to get focused, find clarity, move forward, meet objectives and break through self limiting beliefs. Our opportunity is to see how we meet this energy – with excitement for change or resistance to something new? Or are you stuck in your old patterns, habits or triggered reactions? Or do you feel more solid, resolute and more spirited? Of course, it may be time to consider getting an annual reading. We all respond to energy differently.

How to enhance and protect wealth with Feng Shui in 2022, the year of the Tiger
With so much financial uncertainty at the moment, it seems that money is a common topic with people from all walks of life. The cost of food, drink, fuel, electricity, building supplies and nearly everything else has gone up lately and for most of us, it may feel like our money is not going as far as it usually does. I think it’s safe to say that the majority of the world has had to make cutbacks this year and if you are a long term reader of my articles, you will know that although this is a shop website, we always recommend a good balance of cures and enhancers available on our website along with alternative cures that you may already have around your home ranging from a throw or ornament. 2022 is proving to be a challenging year for all so I have written an article with the best advice I can give on how to use Feng Shui to both protect existing wealth and also invite new wealth into your life during 2022, the year of the Tiger. I have tried to write this article with advice to suit all budgets as I appreciate that not everyone can afford to purchase a large geode to place where the annual #8 star is located (northeast in 2022 if you already have a geode in your home) although if your budget allows it, a Chongyi Changnian Master Cure will work extremely well here and if not, you can introduce a terracotta pot (no plants inside) or candles in the northeast in 2022 to enhance the annual #8 wealth star. Having a good balance with Feng Shui does not mean that you will become a millionaire overnight A lot of people message in saying that they followed our advice for the Flying stars and have still not had major financial growth in the first few weeks and my advice is always this – Yes, Feng Shui has the ability to bring great wealth enhancement although this is not always converted into a lottery win or a huge inheritance; a lot of financial luck will usually come from a promotion at work, a new client, money being saved on a bill or even getting a better price on an eBay purchase. Financial luck in Feng Shui should be seen as an investment into the future and not just a get rich quick scheme; if this were the case, all Feng Shui masters would be retired after the first few years, living in a mansion! How do the different Flying stars affect wealth? With Flying star Feng Shui, we have auspicious and inauspicious Flying stars which will all influence different areas of our life and it is equally important to weaken the inauspicious stars that can weaken wealth luck in 2022 as it is to enhance the auspicious wealth stars.

Everything you need to know about Feng Shui period 9 Xuan Kong Flying star
It does not seem that long ago that I first started preparing for period 8 back in 2002. I remember sitting on a beach in Ko Samui, Thailand thinking about what this new lower cycle period 8 will bring to the world and here I am again twenty years later (almost to the day) thinking the exact same thoughts and what period 9 will bring us? What is even scarier is that when period 1 starts in 2044, I will be 86 years old, and even with my vast knowledge of Feng Shui, I would not like to bet on how the world will be then as period 9 is going to bring some dramatic changes to our world, both good and bad! In traditional Feng Shui, the most potent school is known as Xuan Kong Fei Xing (Flying Star School), and you are probably aware that period 8 ends on the 4th of February 2024 and the same day, Period 9 begins. After 20 years, on the 4th of February 2044, we will enter period 1. I am sure this article will encourage the usual emails from other Feng Shui masters and consultants telling us we are giving too much free valuable information to the public, but as there is already so much misinformation on period 9, I want to set the record straight as you cannot afford to make mistakes in this critical period 9. As you go through this article, you will find that there is an enormous amount of information on this page which will be added to regularly. I’ve broken each area down into topics and you can jump straight to these by clicking the links below. What are the characteristics of the Period 9 purple fire star? Does period 9 begin on the 4th of February 2024? How to make the most of period 9 Feng Shui What will happen in period 9, and it cannot be any different from period 8? Which Xuan Kong flying stars will be auspicious (timely and untimely) in period 9? How to activate and enhance the #9 purple star? What are the predictions for period 9? Can I make my home/office a period 9 natal chart? Which property direction is most favourable in period 9? Which businesses will flourish in period 9 (2024 – 2044)? What are the characteristics of the Period 9 purple fire star? The colour purple and the middle daughter are both associated with the #9 Li Trigram fire star. It is also related to the heart, intestine, eyes, tongue, mouth, jaw, lungs, or any organ around the chest area. The attributes of the #9 Li fire star are its qi energy is like a whirlwind spinning upward and outward with a glow of energy inside that radiates in all directions. Within the five-element Wu Xing system 五行, the element of fire relates to passion, enthusiasm, sophistication, sociability, courage, and passion. People, particularly middle-aged females, maybe concerned more about their social status and social media, in my opinion, could be a problem for younger females as they could be more concerned about how they look, although generally, I think people will become more accepting of body shapes and looks but this will not happen until after the first quarter of P9 around 2027-2029 in my opinion. Females will have a more significant influence in all aspects of society, and I expect to see women in very high positions worldwide. This time has been long-awaited for many countries.

What is positive (sheng) and negative (sha) Feng Shui Qi (Chi)?
With period 9 fast approaching in February 2024, you will need to understand what sheng and sha Qi is and also, the different states of qi and how it interacts with the Xuan Kong flying stars and, in particular, the #9, #1, #2, #8 and #6 stars as these are the ones that can bring great results but even more important are the #3, #4, #5, & #7 as these can be deadly if not dealt with using the correct annual cures and enhancers The most practical way to experience Qi, good or bad, is to contact yourself regularly with the natural forces of the elements in our environment. Practically, this could mean taking a walk when it is windy or stormy or taking a walk in the rain and provided you are up for it, allow yourself to get wet, cold or feel the wind on your face! Go out on a freezing, windy or frosty morning or experience the mellow stillness of snow when it has settled. Get out in the sunshine, and expose your skin to the sun from time to time, albeit for a short period. Take a walk in the woods or a forest and experience the stillness and the driving Qi that sends the pine trees to pierce the canopy of woods. There is so much evidence that walking in the woods or a forest (aka forest bathing) reduces blood pressure and eases anxiety; follow this link for more details https://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/90720.html. I have wanted to buy a forest for many years, but Josephine and Daniel keep talking me out of it as in the UK to have to commit to looking after it, and that can take a lot of time up, so maybe in a few more years when I retire. Walk on a beach and feel the Qi. A walk on the beach, kick off the shoes and feel the sand or the pebbles between your toes—paddle or swim in the sea or a river. Take a walk in the hills or quietly read a book by a river. Begin to notice already what you feel you have an aversion to doing, as that can indicate where your Qi is at the moment. Notice, for example, the difference in Qi between a dog and a cat. A cat is quiet, serious, stand-offish, self-contained – very affectionate when hungry, whereas the dog wears its Qi very much more on the surface. Essentially a pack animal, they wear their heart on their sleeve, expressing how they feel openly, and I love it when my grand-dogs come over as they exert so much positive sheng Qi energy. It is easy to see the Qi of a wild young toddler within a family compared to the reflective, quieter nature of the grandparents. Look at the Qi in the faces of people who have been working hard all week and are letting their hair down on a Friday night; compare that with their Qi on a Monday morning as they frequently scuffle half-heartedly back to work!

Change Your Life With Classical Feng Shui
The key to success in life lies in knowing who you are. And furthermore, what you need to do to get the results you want. Classical Feng Shui has been used in the Far East to help create a roadmap to achieving those results for thousands of years. It is a powerful methodology that gives you the tools to create comfortable, harmonious and stable living and working environments–so you can focus on your path towards heightened intuition. Once energy is allowed to flow freely, you can reap the benefits. There are simple and practical things we all can do to shift the energy of our homes. Good Feng Shui begins with creating a healing home; a place where Qi flows optimally. Once you have health, you can then move onto creating wealth. 3 Tips to Kickstart Your Journey Towards Good Feng Shui All exterior and interior influences must be considered when evaluating Feng Shui. The exterior environment is everything outside the home. This includes the location and shape of hills, waterways, roads, surrounding buildings, trees and landscaping, and any man-made features. For interiors, this includes the shape, design, structure, size, contents and their positions, lighting and décor, and facing direction of the building. A bedroom with good Feng Shui is located in an area away from the most active parts of the home. It is quiet and serene, regularly shaped, not too large and not too small, airy and well-ventilated, and has medium-height ceilings. A bedroom with good energy allows for good rest, and thus a good springboard for larger, more intuitive work to be done. Make sure your art, photos, and other décor pieces reflect your future, goals, and values in life. Intuitively use artwork and symbolism to consciously project your values and goals. Although not technically Feng Shui, this principle works with the energy of your mind, and subconsciously influences your actions. Now it’s time to develop your intuition: Change Your Life With Classical Feng Shui Did you know that 33% of our destiny is influenced by where we live? The bad news is your home might be the problem. The good news is by making positive changes using the formulas and concepts of Classical Feng Shui, you can bring better flow and more opportunities and energy into your life. Your environment creates your mind, and your mind creates your destiny. You can empower your life by learning what you can do to create more flow in your career, relationships and health. Interested?
